How The Club Works
The Mariners Club offers an annual membership with over 9 months of an active boating
season. The boating season is March - December and each member is guaranteed a
minimum of 4 shifts per month. There is no limit to how many times a member can use the
watercraft. If the boat is at the dock, its yours to use!
Members are given exclusive access to our online calendar to check for boat
availabilities. Each boat has several different shifts per day. On the weekends, shifts are
five hours long and during the weekday, shifts vary from three to four hours.

The guaranteed shifts are booked from the 15th - 1st of each month prior. For example, April 15th - May 1st members called to
reserve their shifts in May. All additional shifts can be booked 48 hours in advance and there is no limit to how many times you can
use the boats.
All members are required to obtain a Virginia State Water Safety Certificate to operate the watercraft. Classes are offered by
the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary or can be taken online. Additional boating education options are available including on-board
training and navigating the James River. All courses are taught by a licensed Captain and are certified by the US Coast Guard.
Members are our priority and our goal is to make each ride as enjoyable as it is safe. We thank you for your interest and wish you
